Dear Members of the Family of God in Kenya

RE: CELEBRATION OF WORLD VOCATION SUNDAY ON 17TH  APRIL 2016.

Receive cordial greetings from the PMS National Office.

I am happy to inform you that this year’s vocation Sunday will be celebrated on 17th  April 2016 during the fourth Sunday of Easter also called Good shepherd Sunday with the theme “  The Church mother of Vocations”. It is a special day to pray, promote and support vocations to priesthood, Religious Life and Consecrated life. The church invites us to reflect deeply on the gift of priesthood, sisterhood and brotherhood, show love to them as our sons and daughters, support those in formation as well as those already in the ministry.

Our church as Mother and Teacher invites every Christian during this day to pray earnestly for good and holy vocations to priesthood, Religious Life and consecrated life. The church conscious of the importance of having well formed priests for celebration of sacraments and the word of God invites every faithful to make material and financial contribution to support our seminarians and novices in formation.

Vocation Sunday is meant to help us to visibly express our love for priests, consecrated agents men and women as selfless agents of evangelization. We have a duty to guide the young men and women in listening to the voice of God and answering positively like Samuel in the Bible 1 Samuel 3: 1-9.

For effective and efficient celebration of this day kindly enclosed find a poster and message of Holy Father. I am appealing to all Parish priests and superiors of respective communities to organize how best this day will be celebrated. Please display this poster and other animation materials in a visible place for animation of your Christians and Community members.

After the celebration forward the money collected to your diocesan bishop for onward transmission to our office for forwarding to PMS International Secretariat in Rome through the Apostolic Nunciature. Be proud of your Faith and help the Church to train more Priests, brothers and Sisters through your generous contribution. Have a fruitful celebration. Be assured of our prayers

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Rev. Fr. Celestino Bundi

PMS NATIONAL DIRECTOR.
